You’ll also find a plethora of activities and entertainment options, from a game room to a supervised play area, not to mention a full service spa and wellness centre. Lastly, you’ll find plenty of shopping, entertainment and dining options, from fine dining to casual eateries.
Book through the mobile app
Using the IHG Merlin book through the mobile app is a great way to get a room for your vacation. However, there are a few things to know before you get started.
First, there is no guarantee that you’ll receive the lowest rate. You’ll need to check with the hotel you’re booking to see if you’ll qualify. You’ll also need to show valid identification when you check in. You may need to present a card or a boarding pass, or use a photo ID to verify your identity.
Next, you’ll want to consider the benefits you’ll receive as an employee of an IHG hotel. You’ll be able to receive a discount on your rooms, and there are other perks. For example, you may be able to receive discounts on spa services. IHG also offers special rates for tourism agencies and other groups, and for a limited time you’ll receive a free night’s stay.
Finally, you’ll want to look into IHG’s Ignite program, which allows you to earn rewards for completing activities. There’s no limit to the number of points you can earn.
Earn IHG Rewards points
Unlike other major programs, IHG Rewards points can be earned at any IHG hotel brand, including IHG hotels owned by franchisees. However, not all IHG properties have Club Lounges. If you would like to use IHG Rewards points at an IHG property, you will need to contact the IHG Rewards Service Center for information.
IHG Rewards points can be redeemed for merchandise and awards. Depending on the hotel, you may be able to use your points to pay for an award night or a point and cash option. You can also use your points to book exclusive rates. IHG Rewards points can be redeemed in increments of 5,000.
IHG Rewards will be launching a new program called Milestone Rewards. The program will be available in June of 2022. The program will offer new benefits and an updated way to earn and redeem. You can learn more about the program by taking eLearning modules or by visiting the IHG Merlin website.
Restrictions
Unlike some hotels that limit the number of rooms employees can reserve at their hotel, IHG allows employees to book as many room nights as they would like at any of their hotels. They can also book two rooms at a time. However, IHG reserves the right to revoke or cancel any employee’s room reservation at any time. IHG will notify employees about these changes. Moreover, the hotels will require the employee to present valid identification at check-in. If an employee is unable to provide the required identification, he or she will be subject to a penalty, unless the employee can show that the failure to produce the required documentation was not intentional.
While staying at an IHG-branded hotel, an employee must conduct themselves in a manner that is appropriate for the hotel. The employee will be held responsible for any damage he or she causes to the property and will be asked to pay for any damages that are incurred.
