Book through the mobile app

Using the IHG Merlin book through the mobile app is a great way to get a room for your vacation. However, there are a few things to know before you get started.

First, there is no guarantee that you’ll receive the lowest rate. You’ll need to check with the hotel you’re booking to see if you’ll qualify. You’ll also need to show valid identification when you check in. You may need to present a card or a boarding pass, or use a photo ID to verify your identity.

Next, you’ll want to consider the benefits you’ll receive as an employee of an IHG hotel. You’ll be able to receive a discount on your rooms, and there are other perks. Restrictions

Unlike some hotels that limit the number of rooms employees can reserve at their hotel, IHG allows employees to book as many room nights as they would like at any of their hotels. They can also book two rooms at a time. However, IHG reserves the right to revoke or cancel any employee’s room reservation at any time. IHG will notify employees about these changes. Moreover, the hotels will require the employee to present valid identification at check-in. If an employee is unable to provide the required identification, he or she will be subject to a penalty, unless the employee can show that the failure to produce the required documentation was not intentional.

While staying at an IHG-branded hotel, an employee must conduct themselves in a manner that is appropriate for the hotel. The employee will be held responsible for any damage he or she causes to the property and will be asked to pay for any damages that are incurred.
